We are proud to provide comprehensive survey reports with non-alarmist, pragmatic advice as we understand that purchasing a home is a very stressful time for all, whether you’re a first-time buyer or someone who has bought and sold many times in the past. 

Transparent communication and tailored support

We understand that communication is key, so we are available to customers throughout the whole process to support if necessary. We put any of our findings into perspective in relation to the type of property being purchased. We offer a service for a purchaser to join the surveyor on site at the end of an inspection (if all parties are agreeable) which we find is particularly useful in this regard. 

We have recently offered this as standard on our Level 3 Building Survey offering. We make our reports as clear as possible with extensive use of photographs etc., but it can be much easier to explain an issue on site and in person where customers can see issues “in the flesh”. Where customers are not available, we can also make use of modern technology and arrange a video call to share our findings firsthand.

Regardless, we are available to purchasers at any time and as many times as needed during the purchase of a property to offer guidance and advice. We feel this is where we go above and beyond in comparison to the volume-led firms and, in turn, this maximises the chance of an offer leading to completion. 

Competing on quality, not price

We are aware that we may be a little more expensive than some of our competitors but at the risk of sounding like an advert for a certain shampoo brand, we are not afraid to say it is “because we’re worth it!”.

Purchasers should be aware that some surveying firms are able to charge a lower fee because they inspect multiple properties in a day. 

We have heard of some surveyors carrying out up to three Level 3 Building Surveys in a day which in our opinion just cannot be done while providing a comprehensive property inspection and quality report. At Nuven, we carry out one Level 3 Building Survey in a day. This allows the surveyor to spend as much time as is needed at a property (without worrying about getting to the next inspection) to ensure that they are giving purchasers the very best advice.
