What was it about Nuven that persuaded you to accept a job with the company?

I have experienced several Business Environments during my career, so I was keen to continue expanding these skills in a Surveying Practice.

The flexibility of being able to balance work life with my children was critical. Nuven were clear from the outset that they put their staff first, and working for a small to medium sized business was an important factor for me. It is nice to not just be a number and a valued member of the team.

What have you enjoyed the most during your time with Nuven?

Every day is a school day at Nuven. We are continuing to broaden our skills and knowledge in the office. Continually learning on the job keeps me motivated. However, what I have enjoyed the most is that every single day is different, as is every single house and client.

What does a typical day look like?

Busy!!!

There is no such thing as a typical day. My role is to be the first point of contact with new and existing clients, providing them with quotes, answering questions, booking the jobs in with Estate Agents and on to our surveying system, sending out referral quotes, sending invoices and Terms and Conditions out to the clients. Managing surveyors' diaries, setting out the surveyors’ jobs and sending them to their iPad's ready for the next day. The list is never ending...

But the most important thing is working alongside my colleagues whether we are working from home or in the office and having fun!

What would your advice be to a candidate joining the Admin Team?

Whilst we will never become Surveyors, it is important that we provide our customers with correct information. My advice would be to show willingness to learn about the surveying world whilst being extremely customer focused.

Oh, and you’ve got to love a GIF.

What do you hope for the business in the next couple of years?

I hope the business continues to grow over the next few years as it has on the previous and that we continue to be the surveying company of choice within our local areas.
